the remaking of a kitchen

we're trying something new today......dining table masquerading as desk. we will live with it for a few days or weeks and see how we live with it.
had trick or treaters tonight....kids for candy and parents for viewing the kitchen. it was fun...i just love the kitchen. it's still hard to imagine that we really have done this wondrous thing. :)

this is the most contagious smile i've seen. what a darling little girl!

it's beginning to look less like a barn and more like a barn. the rugs really warm up the space nicely. we still need a few more pieces of furniture, and a few more rugs, but it's quite comfy in the areas we've finished. this really may be possible. :)

can you believe it?? our first snow and temps in the low 30's on the 11th of october. yuck-o
the one to the right is at 7:45 this evening....snow is starting to collect on the table and chairs on the deck.

today my neighbor diane called to say the bald eagle had returned. now we don't really know that this is the same eagle we saw last year, but it's fun to consider that it might be. he stayed in the same place for quite a while and then flew on down the lake and sat higher in a tree. with diane's super camera lens we could see him as if he were in touching distance. what a delight! the one on the right is diane's photo with her super digital with the zoom lens. this eagle appears a little scruffier than he did last year.

behold, a complete kitchen exists.........at last. it works, it is definitely user friendly and i wouldn't change a thing!

at last our very own swiffer, and a reason to use it.
