the remaking of a kitchen

another skype session with sarah and siena....this one cut short by the arrival of ms crumple cakes. the call was a little too close to bedtime, but very sweet while it lasted. siena did some of her scoot on her way to grab the computer, and showed us how she played with and chewed on some of her toys. she always seems to recognize us and that is a joy in itself and very heartwarming to the too faraway grands.

today we had a great skype visit with sarah and siena. siena was in fine form, she actually laughed out loud at one point and she was "talking" and smiling away most of the time. she even demonstrated her new tricks....she can move! it does involve a lot of flapping, but then she bounces or hops forward on her little rear. it's very sweet. i took many many snaps, so here we go. the really close ups are when she was diving at the computer; in fact she was able to close the lid a couple of times. the side view of her smiling is when she saw her daddy in the front garden. she alternated looking at pictures in her books and chewing on them.....very tasty titles for sure.
one of my faves is her lifting her foot, so she could get it into her mouth! :)






















i am just back from a lovely visit to omaha...staying at my friend judy's basement motel. i had a wonderful visit with her and her family, plus i was able to touch base with so many friends. it was very therapeutic and i think i just need to do something like that more often!! we even went to the henry doorly zoo which has changed so much since i last visited. it was a great treat!
