the remaking of a kitchen

this is one ugly shot! this mess was quite a surprise to all of us. if you look closely you can see the dreaded green and gold vinyl that we covered with white vinyl about 15 years ago. a good thing! there was a narrow countertop with some cabinets below in this spot. there was rubble all over the floor and rough bricks and JUNK hiding behind and under it. notice the bricks from the kitchen fireplace extending into the area from the right. on the left you see the edge of the dining room wall. the blue tape on the floor indicates the outline of where we hope to see the breakfront.
