the remaking of a kitchen

i have to admit that after teasing the visiting californians about their thin blood, i have become a wuss. today which began at -22 was just too much. i took a neighbor to lunch for her birthday then came home and sat in the chair in which david is pictured. i used the same banky, sat in front of the fire and read a book. i cannot believe that it is continuing to be so darn cold. they are predicting -24 tonight. when it was -9 at one point today they cheerily mentioned that would be a -27 windchill. simply ridiculous!

sarah and david are visiting us for the holidays and are freezing. their cali blood is just not up to the cold we are experiencing! they have bankys, hot drinks, reading by the fire etc, but still they freeze!
we are having a good time.....sarah and i visited a spa and then had lunch while don and david did some mall hopping and revived themselves with lunch.
it is still darn cold, but supposedly the end as is in warmer weather is just around the corner!
